Every charting site gives you candlesticks on UVXY, SQQQ, SOXS, or BOIL. The problem? Candlesticks are meaningless on leveraged ETFs.
Leveraged ETFs have no earnings, no long-term upward drift, and no reason to recover after a decline. They reset daily, bleed value through sideways markets, reverse-split every year or two, and trend lower over time. Applying standard equity tools to these products produces signals that have no real meaning. A 52-week low on SOXS is not a buy signal; it is a recurring event. A moving-average crossover on a product that can lose most of its value in a year is not measuring momentum. It is tracking decay.
When you throw standard stock tools at these products, you get numbers that mean absolutely nothing. A 52-week low on SOXS isn’t a buy signal; it happens constantly. A moving-average crossover on a ticker that loses 90% of its value a year isn’t tracking momentum, it’s just tracking decay.
Because of this, the rest of the industry simply avoids them. Screeners exclude them. Backtesters filter them out. That leaves active traders relying on incomplete information and guesswork.
TradeIntel solves this. We created a full suite of tools designed around how leveraged products actually behave.

The UVXY Data Problem (and How We Fixed It)
Almost every UVXY backtest contains a serious flaw.
Before February 28, 2018, UVXY was a 2x product. On that date ProShares changed the leverage to 1.5x. Most data providers simply stitch the two periods together without any adjustment. A 10-year backtest therefore mixes a 2x product for the early years with a 1.5x product for the later years. Every pre-2018 move in the raw data is roughly 33% larger than the equivalent move would be under today’s leverage.
TradeIntel corrected this. We reconstructed the entire pre-2018 price history, scaling every prior open, high, low, and close so the whole history behaves as a continuous 1.5x product. The result is a clean data set that matches the instrument you actually trade today.
Standard charting platforms and backtesters still run on the unadjusted history. That means they are analyzing an ETF that no longer exists.
TradeIntel gives you the adjusted numbers so your analysis reflects the product in front of you.
